Here is a great tip on how to make perfect card folds every single time. No scoring required, simple fold and burnish with your bone folder. I shared this tip in my newsletter yesterday and on my Create with Janine Facebook page and my readers loved it. I certainly loved it once I saw this done for the first time and tried it out. No more wonky card edges because my scoring was out slightly! You can sign up to my newsletter in the box on the right or below this post depending what medium you are reading this.
Read on to see how you can have perfect card folds done in a jiffy!
You will need the current Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer. This trimmer has a ridge running down the left hand side. Slide the edge of your open sheet of card neatly into the ridge. Hold it firmly in place. See the photo above.
Now bring over the right hand side of the card sheet so the second edge abuts the trimmer ridge. Make sure the two card edges are aligned perfectly, that there is no overhang on either of the side edges. (This is when you see if you have cut a straight card piece!)
Press down firmly on the card piece and with your bone folder start to create the centre fold of your card base.
Keep applying pressure with the bone folder over the centre fold for your card base until you have a smooth flat card crease. You now have a perfectly folded card base, no need for prescoring.
I hope you find this tip useful!
