Ways to Create with the Pretty Medallion Stamp

Stampin' Up! Pretty Medallion Card

Here’s another way to create an elegant card design using the Pretty Medallion stamp from Stampin’ Up! This time I have created a standard size card. I previously shared a larger card version, a 6×6 inch card. See it by clicking here.

The image was inked up with Versamark ink and stamped using a Stamparatus. For an explanation why see this post. Silver embossing powder was added to the image and then it was heat set. Note please make sure you use an embossing buddy on your blank card piece before stamping with the Versamark. This is a fine detail stamp image and getting any stray specks of embossing powder out of the design will be extremely difficult. An embossing buddy prevents static cling and removes sticky finger prints that the embossing powder will stick to.

The card base is Soft Succulent as is the ribbon. My favourite dies – Stylish Shapes die cut the sentiment. A circle die from Layering Circles is behind it. The sentiment is from Very Best Occasions stamp set and was silver heat embossed too. Adding a few Basic rhinestones adds to the understated elegance of the card design.

I love how beautiful the Pretty Medallion stamp appears when treated like this. It has made a really elegant card. A lovely design to use for a wedding card or engagement card. Also it would make a gorgeous invitation card. Just change the sentiment to suit the occasion. Silver embossing powder creates a far more elegant card than the gold version I shared in an earlier post I think. What do you think?

I will share one more design idea using the Pretty Medallion stamp in my next post.

Happy Stamping!
