The Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pop-ups dies are not carrying over into the next Annual Catalogue. How disappointing! I have had this pack of dies on my desk for a couple of months waiting to see the light of day. I am now kicking myself for not getting them out sooner as I am having a wonderful time creating with them.
My first card was a simple straight forward creation made to show my newsletter readers how different but effective and pretty this die set is. I feel a lot of people probably missed the set as it is a stand alone die set with no pairing to a stamp set. It is also something quite different from the regular die cutting sets available.
The die was cut on Shimmery White card, also being discontinued!!!!! I always create with this cardstock. I love the light shimmery effect it gives to projects. Fortunately I have stocked up on a few extra packs so I will be kept happy for quite some time!!!
The base card is Polished Pink, a retiring 2021-2023 In Color. My creating over the last weeks of April will focus on trying to use up my cardstock supply of retiring Stampin’ Up! colours. Fifteen colours are going! Good news is we get 15 new colours to replace them!
Next card made using this die set was a stepped version using the same die from the 10 piece die set. This was fiddly but a lot of fun to do!
I used Stampin’ Up! markers to do the colouring as the Blends bled a bit too much on some of the finer detailed pop ups. Again I used Shimmery White card for the die cut piece. Tahitian Tide is the base card colour. The greeting stamps are from Go To Greetings. A terrific set of stamps that has the four most used greetings in it all in three different fonts.
