A mega post for you as I share my Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card Ideas with you from using products from the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalogue and Annual Catalogue. I haven’t posted many of my Christmas cards this year, hence a mega post to get many of them covered before Christmas 2023 is a memory! Settle in for a read!
I’ll also be including some tips on making some of these cards plus the products used to create most of these cards will all be carrying over after the Holiday Mini Catalogue retires.
The Fragrant Forest background stamp is a beauty as it not only works for a festive season card but also for birthday cards, scrapbooking pages associated with camping and outdoor adventures so I am pleased to see it will continue to be available for ordering.
To get a range of colours on the fir trees use your Stampin’ Spots. If you order Stampin’ Up! kits you will have a selection of colours available, otherwise get yourself uninked Stampin’ Spots and ink them with the colours of your choice using ink refills. The Labels Aglow dies are in the Annual Catalogue if you are thinking I didn’t see those in the Holiday Mini this year.
Another Annual Catalogue item is the Gold Celebrations Specialty Acetate Sheets used on the card below. To attach it add Mini Glue Dots under the areas covered by the stamped images so you don’t have visible adhesives showing.
How about trying a black & white card image for Christmas? Adding vellum die cuts adds extra interest to your card.
Unfortunately the Wishes All Around Bundle is not carrying over but I am sharing this card so you can see the way I coloured the die cut and can then use this idea on other die cuts you have in your collection.
Use your Stampin’ Write Markers or Stampin’ Blends to colour the Basic White die cut piece so you can add the appropriate colours to make the die cut appear more realistic.
The Forever Forest stamp set and dies are carrying over and that is great as they can be used for exactly the same reasons I mentioned above with the Fragrant Forest stamp. This bundle would actually be more versatile given the dies that are in the die set. They are so suitable for scrapbook page layouts!
Using up your Christmas Designer Series Papers can be easily achieved using card layouts like the ones below. Use with any leftover papers you have or use on any of your paper collection.
Papers used above are the Joyful Specialty Designer Series 12×12 papers and below these are the Online Exclusive 12×12 papers Shining Christmas. The Shining Christmas papers will continue to be available until sold out in the Online Exclusives range in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store.
The last two cards are ones I received from team members which show off the Merriest Trees dies beautifully. I am very happy to see this die set and matching stamp set carry over into 2024.
Jenny’s card makes use of the More Dazzle 6×6 paper to die cut the Christmas tree. It looks fabulous! She created her background marbled paper using ink refills, craft white ink refill and water painters.
Sharni’s card below shows a great idea using the different layers of the tree dies in the merriest Trees die set. Very clever!
