Little Dreamers Baby Card

Spread the love

Here is my Little Dreamers baby card I made for my youngest son and his wife who were recently blessed with the safe birth of their first child. A new grandson for us! Of course he is adorable and looks just like his Dad did as a baby. I love the Little Dreamers bundle of stamps and dies. They are just so cute those sweet animal images!

The card is a square design at 5 x 5 inches. I used the lovely Alphabet A La Mode dies to die cut out our new grandson’s name. The cute lion image was coloured using Stampin’ Blends and then die cut using the Little Dreamers dies. Love a matching set of dies that mean no fussy cutting of stamped images!

The die cut star background was created using a die from the Little Dreamer die set, as was the moon. I am so pleased Stampin’ Up! have brought back a baby set with the sentiment “a star is born”. I have had several customers over the years ask for a stamp set with this greeting in it.

The sentiment was stamped and then punched out using the cloud punch. To add co ordination with the moon die cut I went around the edges of the punched piece with the new additional tool added to the Take Your Pick Tool, the pick tip one of the three new Crafter Tips for the Tool.

Cardstock colours are a card base of Night of Navy, then a Blueberry Bushell card mat and finally top a top layer of Balmy Blue. I don’t often make square cards and when I do I always love them and wonder why I don’t make more! Are you a square card creator or standard rectangle size card maker? Pop a comment in the box below to let me know.

Of course you can not make a baby card with out decorating the inside! I had already coloured and die cut the squirrel and not used him on another card, so it made the perfect addition to pop into this card. It also saved the risk of making a mistake when I stamped and coloured the image directly onto the card insert!!!!

Little Dreamers Baby Card

I have had a lovely time creating with the Little Dreamers Bundle and I will share the baby cards I’ve made with you very soon. I’m getting back into the swing of blogging again after a fabulous few weeks away up in the Northern Territory and Queensland. While it is chilly winter down here in Melbourne it was gloriously warm up in Darwin and Cairns. We escaped a month of winter by going north!

If you after a baby stamp set then make sure you have a good look at the Little Dreamers Bundle. As I said before, it is so sweet and cute!

Happy Creating!
