As mentioned in my last post I spent a fabulous weekend at Escape to Create craft retreat weekend at
The Country Place, Kalorama. This was my sixth retreat with this terrific group of ladies, 33 of us attended this year. We have a fun weekend scrapbooking, cardmaking and having fun girl time. I love attending, it really is a highlight of my year and one I look forward to for several months beforehand as I mentally plan projects to take with me. It is all organised by the wonderful Julie Marshall at
Escape to Create.
Since the new Stampin’Up! annual catalogue, well even from this years Convention in May, I have loved the new kits available. I ordered them all with the plan of making them all at Retreat. I started on the Tin of Cards and here is my completed kit. Love it!
The gorgeous tin is part of the kit, everything is precut, you just do the stamping and assembling. I have always wanted a storage box for my completed cards and now I have it! Perfect!
Below are the lovely cards that come as part of the kit – 16 all up, 4 of each design and you choose the occasion each card will be used for by adding the sentiments from the co-ordinating stamp set Tin of Cards. You also create the headers on your file tabs and decorate with matching papers included in the kit.
Here is a pic I took as I created so you can see how the die cut butterflies come in the kit.
See how you can make the card match the occasion using the Tin of Cards stamp set.
Finally here I am with some of my crafting buddies at Retreat!
Thanks ladies for a wonderful weekend of papercrafting fun!
Cheers!
Janine
