Look at how great the Shimmer Vellum comes up when embossed with the Evergreen Embossing folder. I could have made a birthday card however I felt a Christmas card was the best way to use the embossed pieces.
I actually embossed the In Color Shimmer Vellum with this folder in response to a customer query. She was finding the vellum was tearing at the edges of the embossed piece. I found if the vellum was cut to slightly larger than the embossing folder the vellum did not tear. It could then be cut to the size required for the card being made.
What do you think of the font in this new stamp set from the Mini Catalogue – Heartfelt Wishes? I think it goes perfectly with this card creation! Adding in some In Color gems finished off the card nicely.
Also popping some Metallic Mesh ribbon behind the sentiment on the square card added a subtle bit of further glimmer to the finished card.
Evening Evergreen is the Shimmer Vellum colour. The same colour is used as the card base and the mat and sentiment are Soft Succulent card.
