Pop of Paradise Card

Spread the love

I hope you all had a very nice Valentine’s Day, Mine was extra special as we celebrated the birth of our first grandchild the day before! A cute little girl named Blake. So hence my absence from posting and creating as I assisted my son and daughter-in-law settle in at home with their baby girl.

So prior to the expected arrival I have been stamping up a storm and making at least two cards a day as I knew I was going to lose creative days in the future.
As mentioned previously I am working through the stacks of stamp sets on my desk that have been awaiting ink to adorn them. So a set that has been sitting there since preorder for the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue was Pop of Paradise. Finally it has seen the light of day!!! We sometimes forget there is a whole Annual catalogue to goggle at when the new mini catalogues come out but it is there and all available until May 31this year.

To create my card I randomly stamped the leaves in Emerald Envy ink and pineapples in Crushed Curry ink on Whisper White card. I wrapped a length of Organza ribbon and layered it with Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon before layering the stamped piece of card onto a Whisper White matt. This was then layered onto folded Emerald Envy card.
The flamingo was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and fussy cut. It is layered using Dimensionals over a sentiment cutout using Layering Ovals framelits. A tussle of black metallic thread adds a bit of something extra along with a random scatter of white sequins finish off the card.

Hope to be back again in a day or two.
Cheers!

Janine
