Paperific 2022 is over but what a terrific weekend of paper crafts it was! after no shows in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid this long anticipated return was everything we hoped for. Customers were excited to be back to some normality and my team and I on our Stampin’ Up! stand were thrilled to be back face to face with customers again.
A new venue for Paperific at Flemington Racecourse after more than ten years at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The new venue was the Atrium within the Grandstand. Look at this view from the lunch seating area! Flemington is where the Melbourne Cup is raced the first Tuesday in November every year.
We set up our stand on Thursday ready to greet customers over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The stand looked terrific and customers gave us loads of compliments as they admired our presentations. We held classes and caught up with customers we hadn’t seen in person for nearly three years.
Several of my team are Team Leaders and this weekend also coincided with a Stampin’ Up! global event for Stampin’ Up! Leaders in New Orleans. Backstage looked amazing so being fully occupied at Paperific saved us from spending our weekend feeling left out as we checked out the happenings in New Orleans on Facebook.
We had a fellow demonstrator drop by the stand so we took this photo to show what we got up to here in Melbourne while over 600 Stampin’ Up! leaders had a wonderful time in New Orleans.
It’s sad Paperific 2022 is over however we have met many new papercraft addicts and hope to build Stampin’ Up! relationships with them. There is hope there will be a Paperific in April 2022, fingers crossed so we don’t have to wait a year to celebrate all things paper again.
Thank you to everyone who came by for a chat, it was so good to see you!
