I’ve been absent from posting as I have been away and then once home I have been focusing on tidying, sorting and reorganising my stamping area. It desperately needed it! After 4 days of attacking I finally have a lovely clear desk, tidy shelves with retired stock all moved out to storage. The feeling is good!!!!!
One thing that happens when you do a major cleanup is you find all sorts of things, including all those stamped images or half finished cards that are just waiting for completion. So once I finished today I set myself a challenge to make a card using one of the items I’d found.
I chose a stamped image from “Lovely as a Tree”,( which you will be amazed to hear is continuing on in the next Stampin’Up! catalogue!) that I had created in one of my classes about 3 – 4 years ago. I think it was to demonstrate the technique of “marker to stamp”, I don’t think it was “thumping”, it looks too neat!
I chose this image as it used More Mustard and of course this colour is retiring as of June 30 so time to use the card and ink before it retires. I like how the Natural Trim ribbon adds to the earthy feel of the card. A few runs of the fingernail along the card edges to roughen them up, adhere it all and my card was done. If only I could create that quickly at other times!!!!
So now I have a positive area to create in again, I aim to be posting here far more regularly! Thanks for coming by!
