Stampin’Up! Card Using Hydrangea Dies

This Stampin’Up! card using Hydrangea dies has no stamping on the card front. So if you are not into stamping on your cards but love using dies here’s a card just for you. I made this card to include in my April Class in a Kit Hydrangea Haven Gift Box of Notecards. You can see that Paper Pumpkin gift box and cards here.

The Hydrangea die set has so many elements to it however my favourite die is the hydrangea flower head one that I have used for this card. I love how you can bend up the little partial cut petals to create further dimension to your card. The background mat being embossed also adds further texture to the card. The embossing folder is the Ornate Floral 3D folder.

A hint for attaching the fine stem leaf die to your card, add your cardstock to an adhesive sheet before die cutting to make adhering the piece a less messy affair. Another option is to use a silicone sheet and sponge dauber and add your mulitpurpose glue to the back of the die that way. The die cut will not stick to the silicone sheet and clean up is a breeze.

I’ve used a couple of retiring In colours for this card – Seaside Spray for the card base and Rocco Rose for the bloom. Other colours are Old Olive for the stem/leaves, Highland Heather for the larger card mat and Misty Moonlight under the Whisper White embossed card mat.

Has this card given you something to think about for your next cardmaking session?

Happy Stamping!

Janine
