This pack of Speciality papers contains 6 different clear embossed designs. It is not until you apply colour by brayer, sponge or inkpad that the true beauty of this paper shines. Any ink applied is resisted by the embossed areas and wipes away with a cloth or tissue revealing the pretty design for you to use as a card front accent piece.
I used Stampin’Up! sponge brayers to apply the ink to the card, gradually building up the colour intensity to the desired brightness required. Ink colours are Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder.
The strip card was stamped with the flower stamp from the set “So in Love”. You’ll find that set in the Occasions catalogue page 52.
The sentiment comes from “Dragon Fly Dreams” also in the Occasions catalogue.
I enjoyed using these papers so much I had to make another one using Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise and Elegant Eggplant. It is my mother -in-law’s birthday this week so I made it for her.
I love how the colours are so vibrant and how the embossed design stands out on the card. The stamps from Oh So Succulent work well with this patterned paper.
Try out this technique , it is so much fun watching the paper designs pop out at you! You can get yourself a pack of papers by going to my online store. Just click on the image below.
