At Paperific, fellow demonstrator Gail Kirby was demonstrating a technique known as Crayon Resist using this tree from the stamp set Le Jardin Botanique. I love doing this technique and had not tried it with this set, so had a play with it the other day.
The technique involves stamping your image and then with a white wax crayon you highlight the areas where you want shadow/highlights. Then using sponge daubers or sponges you add colour from inkpads of your choice. Here I used Old Olive and Really Rust. Wipe over with a tissue and the areas defined by the crayon will resisit the ink and be highlighted.
Card used was Whisper White, which I roughed up the edges using the distressing edger from the Cutter Tool kit. It is backed with Chocolate Chip card and mounted on a Confetti White folded card which has Choc Chip wide stitched ribbon adhered across it.
I must say I was very pleased with the result! Hope you are too!!!
